Man Arrested For Stabbing Pair In Atlantic City: Police

A 27-year-old man from Brooklyn was arrested for stabbing two other men in Atlantic City, authorities said.

On Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 12:31 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 3000 block of Pacific Avenue for individuals involved in a fight with one armed with a knife, police said.

Atlantic City Patrol Officer Dylan Perez arrived and multiple bystanders pointed out the suspect who had stabbed two men.

Perez attempted to stop Dwayne Lewis who began to run away, they said.

With assistance from Officer Kenlyn Johnson, Lewis was apprehended and taken into custody.

Lewis and two men were involved in a fight when Lewis used a pocket knife to stab both. 

The victims were transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Lewis was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and weapons offenses, police said.

Lewis was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
